Green Pepper Press Street Team - Crusade #52

I joined the Green Pepper Press Crusade this month. Michelle challenged us to think about our color palette and if it changed during the seasons. I love all colors, but my summer palette is usually aqua with celadon, lavender and sky blue. If you scroll down and see the mermaids for Cat -- those pages pretty much show my summer palette. However, this challenge inspired me to try something new! I tried a different palette of pale ale (inspired by a new spray ink) combined with celadon and dusty plum. I sprayed the entire page with pale ale, spraying over wildflower masks. Then added the layering of colors, images and paper. There's very little contrast on the pages, but I'm glad I tried some new yummy colors for summer.

Betsy - what a gorgeous page! LOVE all the colors together, and love how you evidenced each one in full color on a label. Really handsome. And I love your mermaids in the post below. Thank you for sharing your observation that you gravitate to aqua in summer - and decided to try on a new *wardrobe* this year. It suits you!

Aqua is certainly a summer colour! Reminds of swimming pools and exotic beaches. Like the pages that you made here.

I am in LOVE with your spread! It's very much like my spring/early summer vibe. Those colors look beautiful together.

So pretty! I like this unusual color palette, and it still says summer. The same colors in darker tones would be nice for fall, too.

I'm pleased you had the opportunity to join in this month. I really like your new wardrobe - isn't it funny how a new supply can get us heading off on a new path?
