Before I actually read the challenge, I felt the need to express "peace" in my journal. This is what happened:
After I read the challenge, I realized this was similar to what Michelle was asking us to do! Not quite the same -- but I was on the same wavelength!!
So, I got to work thinking about songs, words in songs, things around me and came up with this. The first page includes favorite words, phrases and Wind in Bamboo is the name of a song. I recently saw the Glee movie (yes, I'm a Gleek!) so page two features my favorite glee show-stoppers.
This was a fun challenge. Thanks, Michelle, for making me think!

Raise Your Glass is my fave! Betsy, fun to see you do a spread for Peace...visualizing what the word would look like. Loved trying to 'hear' what songs your phrases came from and now I can't get Pink (the girl not the color) out of my head...Thanks for sharing with the team.
Betsy, I love these colors, the combination reminds me of a rainbow-the soft dreamy blues are perfect in "Peace".
Wow! Lucky is almost the same color as my office walls, love it. Love your peace page too. Isn't it interesting that you figured out why the last challenge was so hard for you. Amazing how we can quite suddenly learn something new about ourselves...
Oh yeah! That's a wonderful way to explain seeing this exercise! I do my collaging this way, going on a feeling and letting it happen. I had a really hard time with this challenge, myself, but it never occurred to me to look at it that way. Excellent analogy!
When I read your color titles and look at the colors, I can TOTALLY see those colors as symbolizing what you've named them. Especially "total eclipse of the heart." Love your experiment!
my bad for not visiting-thanks for the reminder link. Love the art you have posted-the challenges look like so much fun! "Summer heat" is a really fab spread, as is the one with the stencilling-pretty colors!
PS I didn't know you were a Gleek!!!!! We need to talk:)Linda
This does look like fun. I keep thinking I'll get a chance to try it.
I love "raise your glass" - perfect name. the color looks like sea glass.
Great colors - raise your glass is fun and so is lucky - great inspiration.
Love that you traveled across the color range--from Lucky to Total Eclipse of the Heart--a great range of emotions through color. What a great exploration of heart and soul!
Lovely colours and is that your hand writing?!? Gorgeous!
Yes! That's my handwriting ;)
Great idea Betsy - the colors are beautiful and I relate well to your choices. Peace is very effective!
